Precipitation anomaly forecasted by NCEP coupled forecast system model version 2 (CFSv2), considering a 40-member ensemble (4 runs each day over 10 consecutive days). Figure (a) corresponds to the anomaly forecasted in mm/day, whilst figure (b) corresponds to the normalized anomaly (divided by the climatology standard deviation). Anomalies are computed in relation to the 1999-2010 climatology.
